NCEA Rank Score calculator
Converts your best 80 Level 3 credits by grade. This is the score New Zealand universities rank on.
How this is calculated
Only your best 80 credits from approved Level 3 subjects count, weighted at 4 points per Excellence credit, 3 per Merit, and 2 per Achieved. The maximum is therefore 320. Each subject also has a credit cap, so your official score may differ slightly.
University GPA calculator (9-point)
The 9-point scale used at Auckland, Otago and others. Enter each course grade and its points.
How this is calculated
On the 9-point scale A+ is 9 down to C- at 1, with D and F at 0. The result is a points-weighted average. Schools differ on what they include (major courses only, most recent two years, and so on), so check before you apply.

Five questions to gauge where your preparation stands. Takes about a minute.
* These calculators are for reference. Each university calculates differently and cut-offs move every year, so confirm against official requirements and in consultation.
